I received the following e-mail today. Anyone else receive this message?

Subject:
Warning re Polygraph and NBC

----------------

8/10/11

Dear Fellow Polygraphists:

Today at 12:07pm Eastern, I received a very dangerous call from the NYC office of NBC's "Peacock Productions" ( as the girl identified herself ). They are looking for a polygraphist to assist them in an upcoming segment . to be tested is a former FBI agent for the purpose of showing how the polygraph can be defeated.
I explained ( more than one way ) why no ethical polygraphist would even consider participating in such a degradation of an investigative tool that has assisted law-enforcement since the 1930s by exonerating truthful suspects and exposing liars ( including then gaining actual physical evidence of their crimes ). However, she not only still did not "get it" but made it clear that someone would be found.
That is why I am sending you this message as clearly the word needs to be spread as far and wide about this next attack on our profession !!

These same folks did a sting on this a few years ago. They hired and video taped 4-5 examiners to test on a crime that never occurred. The video in on Boy George's site and there has been a lot of chatter on the site about doing another one.

I'm sure the former FBI agent will be Drew Richardson.
